About us

Batty Blossoms began life in July 2020 when I was furloughed from my part-time job as a UX Designer. I started out by taking on a few family portrait commissions and creating some art prints for my Etsy store.

Over the years, I've expanded my print collection and gone on to design and make stickers, pins, keyrings, notepads, cards, tote bags, zip-up pouches and hand-painted decorations, all from my own original illustrations.

Everything you see in this shop is designed, packed and posted by me (occasionally assisted by my supportive and ever-patient husband)! All the artwork you see is hand drawn or painted by me using my digital tablet, acrylic paints, vinyl and lino/screen printing techniques.

About me

I'm Claire Havell, an illustrator and mum of one very energetic little boy. I live in Brighton, UK. I've loved to draw and create ever since I was a little girl, so being able to do this as my full-time job really is a dream come true.

My main passions/obsessions are arts & crafts, Halloween, travel, food, Japan, coffee and gaming (especially board games!)

I'm also a big supporter of small/indie businesses and artists and am passionate about mental health support and awareness.

About my style

I love creating cute, colourful and quirky art. My work is bold, bright and inspired by the things I love; nature, travel, folklore with a dash of gothic horror.

The thing I most enjoy is the blending of worlds - cute and creepy, contemporary and vintage, dark and whimsical.

Commissions

I am currently available for illustration commissions.
